Fruit of Restoration

Gal. 6: 1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

The preceding chapter closes with 9 specific fruits of walking in the Spirit, contrasted with 20 works of the flesh.  It’s much less exhausting to walk in the Spirit than it is walking in carnality and the flesh.

It’s interesting to note the first evidence mentioned after sharing the “fruit of the Spirit” deals with the need in the Body for restoration of a fallen brother or sister in a spirit of gentleness.

Restoration isn’t covering up but leading brothers/sisters to cleansing, wholeness – restoration to God and one another.  When we become “peacemakers”, the ministry of restoration/reconciliation, we are walking in the Spirit.
