THE SPARK OF REVIVAL
You’ve likely seen reports of revival and renewal breaking out across the nation and in different parts of the world. Many have come from college and university campuses; both secular and religious.
A study of the history of revival reveals that in the modern era, a key component or catalyst is that of earnest prayer and seeking after the Lord.
A few weeks ago Kathy and I with our oldest daughter walked the Mall in Washington, D.C. to view the kiosk’s of each state. It was wonderful as we took a trip down memory lane stopping at each state we’ve lived in for the last 55+ years of marriage.

While walking we unexpectedly came upon a tent off to the side of the exhibits, DAVID’S TENT.
Upon entering the tent, we were able to listen to worship, praise and prayers on behalf of the nation.
The TENT has been functioning non stop since 2015, after having begun with a series of prayer/praise/worship vigils beginning in 2011.
We’ve learned since that friends have participated by leading segments of worship on a number of occasions over the last few years.
Contemplating what has sparked the revivals in the recent past across our nation, it’s the realization of the effect of fervent prayer.
Could it be that DAVID’S TENT is representative of 24/7/365 worship/prayer/praise that is igniting the sparks for revival in the epicenter of geopolitical influence?
Think of it, for over 10 years, in at least one location continuous prayer has been lifted up on behalf of the nation. In my spirit I’m certain this isn’t the only place. Other places include where you and I have prayed for God to move in our nation.
Paul encouraged the Church of Galatia to “not grow weary in doing good as we’ll reap if we don’t lose faith”.
It’s good to pray! It’s good to be persistent in prayer.
Prayer is a spark for personal, regional, national and global revival. Keep the fire burning
