2026 Promises

In a few hours we’ll say goodbye to 2025 and hello to 2026.  I’m looking forward to what the Lord has for us in 2026.

We’ve never been this far on the calendar and crossing into the New Year there is always tension at some level on the spectrum.  For some it’s almost another day on the calendar, only tension is remembering to write 2026 on communication, etc.  The opposite end of the spectrum is high stress, anxiety, worry, with some fear.

Expectation is the mindset for the saint of God.  What does He have for us in the next 12 months?

As we ring out 25 and ring in 26 remember God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He hasn’t changed nor have His promises aren’t exempted out at midnight.

For Kathy & I there are words, desires, hopes and dreams yet to be realized, deposited into our hearts not just over the last 12 months, but in some cases over the years, even decades for a few; by the Lord we’re expecting fulfillment of.

Just as Joshua and Israel prepped to cross the Jordan into the Land of Promise, the Lord came to Joshua and said that what He promised Moses, as well as Abraham, He was going to fulfill for him.

The same is true for us!  He’s still our Provider – Jehovah Jireh, He’s still our Savior – Jesus the Christ, He’s still our Healer – Jehovah Rophe, He still is, has and releases Peace, not as the world gives, but as He does – Jehovah Shalom.

He is still reconciling people as He breaks down walls and builds bridges into hearts and lives.

He still is a dispenser of Truth, He can’t lie!  It’s not even in His mind.

There are unknowns in 2026, but we can rest assured that He knows the beginning from the end, because He’s the Alpha and Omega.

As we awake tomorrow in a brand-new year, let us rest in His unconditional love, unlimited forgiveness and enabling power – His grace.
