Conspiracy

Psalm 54

The setting, David is facing a conspiracy with intentions of garnering favor by those he trusted to give him protection and assistance, only to discover they are in process of setting a plan to bring about his demise.

Betrayal coupled with conspiracy is at the very least a challenge, especially when those you’ve entrusted your life to are the culprits.  How did David respond?

God!  Almighty God was David’s hope, source and resource in resisting the onslaught of despair that flooded his soul.

Note the following references about God that David declares:

Vs. 1 “Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your strength.”

Vs. 2 “Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.”

Vs. 4 “Behold, God is my helper;”

Vs. 6 “I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is                 good.”

Vs. 7 “For He has delivered me out of all trouble;”

When you’re conspired against, betrayed; trust broken, feeling violated, exposed and vulnerable; turn to the Lord and you will discover salvation, vindication, answered prayer, help, the goodness of praise and total deliverance.

Trust God!
