Found to be Found

Luke’s account of the birth of Christ provides a glimpse into the heart of the Father concerning humanity and the mission on which Christ came to fulfill.

In chapter 2 vrse 12 the angle speaking to the shepherds say “you will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger”.  Then in verse 16 we read “they came with haste and   found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in the manger”.

The promise of Christmas is seen here with the shepherds encounter with Christ.  The promise was if they would “seek” they would “find”, which they did and found Him.

The promise is this, whoever genuinely seeks Him, will find Him.

Our prayer on this Christmas Eve is that those who have not yet found Him will seek Him.

Friend I can promise you every seeker, an authentic seeker will find Him.  He came that He might be found so that not only the shepherds could find Him but that each and everyone who will seek Him will find Him.  Our prayer is that you too will discover Him.
