Psalm 34:3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.
David had just escaped from Abimelech saving himself and his men. He exhorts Israel and us to “magnify the Lord”, i.e. make God big. Make Him greater than the circumstance we may find ourselves surrounded by.
Whether it’s an impossible situation with finances, relationships, weather, scandal or compromise that would engulf you; make God bigger.
Further he admonishes us to make His name bigger, larger, elevated more than any other name. Why? Because one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. Every name under heaven and earth will declare His glory.
As we make God Big, we begin to view these momentary light afflictions from His perspective.
We’re also preparing for part of our assignment in eternity future.
Let’s get a head start and Make God Big Now!
