Preparation

As you might expect millions of Floridians are in the final stages of preparing for Dorian, that is still undetermined as to where it’s going or when it will make landfall – if at all.  Lines everywhere waiting for gas, water, batteries, non-perishables, propane – you name it and there’s a line for it. It’s recommended that there be a 7 day supply of all the staples, two years ago with Erma there 9 days without electricity at our house.

Contemplating all the “wise” preparation that every resident and visitor should be prepared for, the thought came “how many are ready for the coming of the Bridegroom?”

Matthew 25:1, 2  Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

The five wise were prepared for the long haul, beyond the expected wait time.  The foolish weren’t ready and when they realized resources were inadequate, it was too late.

We’ve taken the recommended precaution’s to be prepared for a possible (we’re trusting the Lord to move the storm back out to sea) landfall of Dorian.

Have you and your family taken steps in preparing for the return of the Bridegroom, Jesus?

Believe me the consequences of lack of preparation are literally & eternally damning.

PREPARE!
