Resurrection Proofs: Empty Clothes & A Folded Hanky

John 20:5-7 (NKJV) And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6  Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7  and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself.

Not only was the tomb empty, so were the linens that had wrapped around the Lord’s body after the crucifixion.  They were lying on the ground, empty of any body along with a folded hanky.  There is a legend among the Jewish people that a guest would eat at your table, if a napkin was crumpled up they were finished and would not be returning; however if the napkin was folded that they would be returning.

Could it be that Jesus was indicating to those Sunday morning seekers that He would be returning?  He wants to eat again with us at the marriage supper of the Lamb.  What a feast that will be for every saint of God.

Jesus’s return is closer than we know and sooner than we think!  All of the things taking place currently are the signs of His imminent return.

The hanky is folded, are you ready?
