Sustaining Strength

Rev. 3: 8 I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

When a door is opened for you, know the Lord will with that “open door” give sustaining strength to go through and accomplish God’s purposes for that opportunity.

The believers in Philadelphia had “little strength” yet they had “sustaining strength” to enter what the Lord was making available to and for them.  There were those that would try to “steal” their rewards “crowns”, but because of their “little strength” they would be able to retain what was theirs.

Strength comes through perseverant exercise and healthy diets.  We get the benefit of “on the job training” that each new opportunity requires strength to walk through, yes even though our strength may seem to the “little”.  Our diet consists of daily nutrition of the Word of God, communication with the Creator of the universe and hanging out with others of like precious faith.

Little strength when enjoined to faith empowers and enables to keep His word and keep His name!
