The Key to National Revival

Hosea 10: 12  Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

It is with caution the title is given for this post.  However, I believe it is foundational if the United States is to see a national revival, renewal and refreshing.

After years of living on lies, the prophet exhorts Israel to live right and the harvest will be abundant mercy.  In tandem breaking the unproductive areas of our lives is essential at a personal as well as a national level.

There is hardness that must be broken so that when the rain comes “righteousness” will affect the soil of our nation. Hardness in souls and minds toward righteous, evidenced by calling good evil and evil good seen in abortion, entertainment, politics, government and sad to say even in the church.

The breaking up of the ground will come either by choice or by crisis.  The choice is ours, nationally, corporately as the Church and personally.

It’s time to reap the mercies of the Lord, provided we respond first as the Church and then as the Culture.
