Where, Why, How and Who

Psalm 150: 1- 6   Praise the Lord!  Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

This closing Psalm reveals Where we can praise the Lord: in His sanctuary, which is our lives; and in skies.  A number of astronauts have given praise, one that was notable being Apollo 8 as the crew read from Genesis.

Verse 2 gives us two “whys” to praise Him; for His mighty acts and His excellent greatness.

Verses 3 – 5 give us nine ways or “how” to praise Him; with a trumpet, lute, harp, timbrel, dance, stringed instruments, flutes, loud cymbals and crashing cymbals.  The last two are my forte!

Finally verse 6 lets us know “who” is to praise Him; everything that has breath, which is pretty much all of humanity!

Praise The Lord!
