Passionate Prayer
James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
There is a tidal wave of prayer coming and now is in many regions of our nation and world. It’s the kind of prayer James describes here as “effective, fervent prayer”. This kind of prayer has results that initiate restoration and reconciliation within the Body of Christ and is responsible for bringing people to a point to place their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
They could be described as “heart prayer” or “passionate prayer”. What we’re passionate about is often revealed in the content of our prayers. God desires to bless, heal and give favor to all of His children, yet what is closest to the heart of God are people. People that have yet to come to faith in Jesus.
“Lord may our prayers be as passionate about the lost as blessings we desire from You.”
