What God Wants!
Micah 6:8 He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
What does God want from us? Whatever God asks of us can be realized, provided we respond in faith and simple obedience.
He desires justice, mercy and humility.
1. Do just: to be just in their dealings first with the Lord; secondly with people, no more unbalanced scales in dealings with one another; third with themselves, cease walking in deception, ignoring the plan and purposes of God.
2. Love mercy: grace is receiving what we don’t deserve, mercy is not receiving what we do deserve. To be merciful with those, especially those with fewer of the finer thing’s life has to afford. Be merciful with their personal and national resources.
3. Walk in Humility: nowhere is scripture is there any indication that pride is left uncondemned. Humility is walking in dependence and confidence of what God has said. Humility is of greater value than sacrifice to the Lord.
Simple enough, yet many want to make it so complicated.
