Make the Most of Every Opportunity
Luke 18:39 (NKJV) Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Luke records an encounter a blind man had with the Lord that graphically illustrates making the most of his opportunity. There are many lessons in this one encounter that unveil the Lord’s passion and desire for us to receive what is available to us.
Jericho was a “cursed city”, recall when Joshua entered the land of promise and the walls came down. Even in the place of being “cursed” the Lord is present to minister, He’s greater than any curse and can reverse the curse if we’ll avail ourselves of His presence and purposes.
The blind man is a prime example of one who asked and kept asking, because he “saw” his opportunity for what he “sought” , undoubtedly having heard of the miracles of Jesus that it was His will to heal and restore. He continued knocking while the opportunity with the Lord being near.
The result being his vision was restored!
We’re in a season of opportunity, for the most part coerced upon us be COVID-19. The Lord is near! He isn’t far! Will we, as this blind man make the most of our opportunity or will we squander it?
There are opportunities to glean from Him through His word, prayer, fellowshipping with those we’re in lock down with. This season isn’t a time to coast, but a time to re-align, re-set priorities and discover the One who can bring vision in the midst of darkness and depression.
As we make the most of this opportunity, as the blind man received what his faith sought and received, we too will receive.
Make the most of TODAY!
