Don’t Settle in Silence
Psalm 94: 17 Unless the Lord had been my help, My soul would soon have settled in silence.
One of the most subtle weapons in the arsenal the enemy of our soul has is the attempt for us to be “settled in silence”.
Onslaughts of the enemy have goals in addition to death and destruction, especially for the saint who has come to fear God and God alone. One of those “others” is SILENCE, just as he did with Israel during the destruction of the Jerusalem prior to Babylonian captivity. It is generally understood that this Psalm was being sung by the Levites as their captors broke into the temple.
When being attacked, don’t settle in silence. Refuse to be silent, declare the goodness of God in the land of the living even in the face of the enemy; it’s preparation for heaven and eternal presence of the Lord.
Shout it out and don’t be silent!
