The Gaze of God

Psalm 101: 6   My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me.

When I first met Kathy in college, there was something that prompted me to want her attention.  There wasn’t anything too crazy that it kept me from wanting her gaze.

We can capture God’s gaze, His attention through our outlandish, audacious faithfulness to Him, His word, His will and His way.  Being strong for Him and to Him assure us of His attention to every detail in our life.  Not only His attention, but we get His presence too.

It was Kathy’s presence desired over 48 years ago that drove me to do some crazy stuff, getting her attention so that I could be near her.  When we do the seemingly ridiculous in our faithful serving the Lord, we get His attention and His presence.
