A New Thing
Gen. 6:14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.
The account of Noah constructing an ark from blueprints given by God provides purposes for new things God asks of us and those He does as well.
Noah built an ark, something new to him and humanity. But the Lord did something new to and caused it to rain. Often we are required to do something new to/for us that releases so that God can do something new in our lives.
God doesn’t do something just because He’s bored. Behind every new thing God does and asks of us is a greater purpose than the “thing” – whatever it may be. It’s easy to get caught up in the new “thing” and fail to recognize the purpose behind it.
Every “new thing” God requests of us and initiates Himself has a redemptive purpose.
What is God asking you to do that you’ve never attempted before?
