A United Heart

Psalm 86: 11, 12  Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore.

Learning the Lord’s “way” has an incredible personal benefit often unrecognized, a united heart.  Not my “physical” heart muscle that pumps blood through my body, rather the seat of my affections that determine the peace, resiliency and determination that reflect the character of authentic faith.

A united heart engrafts all the ways of God in our daily walk, which elicits praise to Him.  A united heart means “all my heart”, unlimited access to every compartment of my affections.

“Lord give me a ‘united heart’ that will authenticate Your residence within me.”
