Jesus declared that He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10), What is the abundant life. Paul shares three keys to the abundant life that are still applicable for us today.
Phil. 3: 12 – 16 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
The Abundant Life is one with no reserve (I press on, no holding back), Sure we get tired, yet the abundant life is one giving life all that we have, especially to our calling.
Abundant living is a life with no regret (not looking back by the past). Especially in our relationships with the Lord or with people we have relationships with. Express to the Lord and those you are in relationship with your heart.
Finally, abundantly living is living with no retreat (no giving up). Don’t give into the temptation to quit, or give up on others.
When you view these three qualities, we discover this is just how Jesus lives toward us. He hasn’t held anything back from us, the past is covered by His love, grace and forgiveness (when we avail ourselves of it) and He is never going to give up on us.
