Acceptable Service

Heb. 12:28  “Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

How can we give acceptable service to Almighty God, Creator of the universe, King of kings and Lord of lords?  What does it mean to serve acceptably?  Why serve at all?

We serve the King of a kingdom that is eternal, unshakeable and enduring; contrasted with the kingdoms of this world which are shaking today and will one day topple to the eternal King.

Acceptable service is NOT just getting by or the minimum.  Our service is “well pleasing” service that brings a smile to the face of the Father seeing His children give their best.

Grace is what enables or empowers us to serve “acceptably with reverence”!  Grace doesn’t cut corners to slide by.  Grace is God’s enabling power to be our best and give our best for the unshakable Kingdom!

Giving acceptable service is enabled by and from God empowering us to do our best!
