Assuring Power

Seeing the power of the Word manifest is incredible, seeing liberation, healing, restoration and redemption evidenced.  What do those “power encounters” elicit, bring forth in the recipients as well as the witnesses?

1 Thess. 1:5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance,

The apostle said his gospel came with “power” but with “much assurance”, i.e. much confidence!  Confidence in the Word, in Christ and the Christ within us as individuals; we too can have assurance/confidence at a personal level; not just for a select few, rather they are available for every saint of God.

Confidence is a result of having proven the reliability of our faith.  That is the result of our testimony’s from past power encounters.  They remind us in the now enabling us to stand in faith for whatever confronts us.

My desire is to have power bringing assurance as well.
