Blessing The Lord?
Psalms 103:1, 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
Think of it, the Creator of the universe encourages us to “bless” Him. If there’s breath in you, you have the opportunity to bless the One Who created not only the universe, but you!
Blessing the Lord goes beyond making Him happy and it does that, but blessing Him is giving Him us! Our lives yes, but our daily lives intentionally and consciously by allowing Him access to every area of our lives, “all that is within me”.
Blessing the Lord includes remembering “all His benefits”. You could write a book “But For God…” How many times have we received benefits from or by Him that were unmerited or even unknown?
David concludes this Psalm “Bless the Lord, O my soul!” (vs. 22).
Begin the day blessing Him, live the day blessing Him and close the day blessing Him!
Bless the Lord!
