Don’t Run – Stand
Psalm 11:1 In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”?
There are times when you want to simply run and hide as the challenges of life and the ministry opportunities they bring confront us.
David seems to be having a conversation with himself. Those are some of the most important conversations we’ll ever have, those within. How we respond to those have significant impact on the course of our lives.
For David, he encourages himself to not run and hide, but rather stand! We need to heed this godly man’s sage advice as well. Those occurrences may very well be the opportunity for the Lord to miraculously intervene on our behalf. They often times are tests that equip us for future challenges that are greater than our current issue.
Standing in and on the imputed righteousness from the Lord, we can face and be strengthened because we stood in and on His Word, His Promise and His Hope. He is our refuge in the trust in the Lord!
Don’t run – stand in trust!
