Falling From Grace?

Gal. 5: 4   You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

This verse clearly reveals it is possible to “fall from grace”, but what does it mean and what is the context of Paul’s admonishment?

Falling from grace is the result of reverting back to our relationship on the basis of trying to be a slave/servant mentality again.

Essentially Paul sounds an alarm to reverting back to a legalistic way in which we relate to God.  Functioning as slaves/servants while retaining status as an son or heir.  For the Galatians it was going back under the Law, which nullified grace

When faith is mixed with law/legalism (in this case it was circumcision) {Gal. 5: 11} the work of the cross is nullified.

Grace provides opportunities of empowerment to live righteously by faith

Let’s not only celebrate our liberty/liberation, let’s walk in it.
