God’s Sanctuary
Psalm 114: 2, 3 Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion. The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back.
This micro review of deliverance from Egypt and provision in the wilderness unveils an incredible prophetic view of the New Birth through faith in Christ. As Judah (praise) was His sanctuary then, we are now His sanctuary. We’ve been bought with a price, we’re not our own, we belong to Him and He resides within us.
God’s presence pushed back the Red Sea, Jordon River; refreshment came in the midst of dry places, deliverance was realized for an entire nation. His presence can still do that for nations today. The challenges and transgressions can all be broken off by His presence.
We are His sanctuary. Christ in us is the hope of glory (Col. 1:27). Let’s push back floods of unrighteousness, lawlessness and evil.
