His Kingdom Come
Luke 11:2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
The disciples asked Jesus to “teach us to pray” which we have His response in providing a guide for our prayers as disciples of the Lord. The initial request He asked us to make after honoring His multifaceted Name is for the Father’s Kingdom to come and be shown on earth as it is in heaven.
Keep in mind that this guide/model is in response to a corporate query but can also be applied at a personal level.
For His will, the decrees of Kingdom to occur on earth as it is in heaven, note two essentials for that to happen.
One, the Kingdom must be established in a corporate sense across the Body of Christ and as disciples of the King. The Lordship of Jesus must be established, settled in hearts and minds, being evidenced by our Kingdom living.
Two, the Kingdom must be extended to every facet of life, no hidden closets, draws or rooms. Jesus Himself asked for this in the garden when He cried out “not my will, but Your’s be done” to the Father.
“Lord establish Your Kingdom, extend/expand the perimeter of Your Lordship to every aspect of my life and ministry so that Your will be done.”
