Just Delight
Psalm 37:3, 4 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
When David penned these words is not clear, however he clearly had thoughts as to why the ungodly were prospering and the righteous seemingly faced crisis. Rather than seeing what we have or don’t have we’re admonished to trust Him; which is demonstrated by our determination to “dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness”. Feeding in His land includes remembering past proofs of His faithfulness and expectation of His future faithfulness; He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
When we delight ourselves in Him desires are deposited into our hearts by Him. Desires to fulfill the destiny, future and hope He intended from the foundations of the earth. Desires to show the way to truth, life and light. Desires to render forces of darkness harmless. Desires to liberate the captives. Desires bring healing to every people group. Desires that bring fulfillment of eternal proportions.
Just Delight!
