Kingdom Come !
Matt. 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
The model prayer Jesus gave to the disciples and listeners in the Sermon on the Mount includes petitioning the Father’s Kingdom to come and be expressed on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus referred to the Kingdom in two different ways. One was the “kingdom of God” and the second “kingdom of heaven”. True you can often interchange one for the other. However, think of another way of viewing these kingdoms, as being unique from the other.
Could the kingdom of God refer to authority, reign and rule of God and the kingdom of heaven refer to the atmosphere, climate or character that is manifest when God’s Kingdom is established?
When His rule and reign are established personally, then His will shall “be done”. Could it be that much of what we are witnessing with those who have fallen prey to the enemy is that the Kingdom of God hasn’t been established, therefore His will can’t be manifest on earth?
As Kingdom agents, the kingdom of heaven is at hand through our lives when the kingdom of God is established in our hearts resulting in His will being done on earth; saving, delivering, healing, releasing peace, establishing hope and strengthen faith.
Father, Your Kingdom Come!
