Mighty God

Isa. 9:6  For unto us a Child is born,  Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God

Isaiah’s prophecy continues unveiling the character of the Child and Son through specific names.  He not only is a miraculous adviser, He also is “mighty mighty God” in the Hebrew.   The word for “Mighty” is translated as “warrior”.

Prophetically we see He is all powerful with unparalleled strength.   When weakness attempts to seduce us to fear and doubt, Isaiah reminds us He is the “Mighty God”.  There was none before Him and there is none after Him.  The Creator now becomes creation, Divine Creation.

For the saint of God we can now declare “He is our strength!” when frailty, insecurity or intimidation would assault.

Mighty God comes to our rescue from attack or self-inflicted wounds.  He is our strength and has broken down every wall – Mighty God!
