Origins of Temptation

Gen. 3:1  Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

The origin of the temptations each of us meet are discovered in viewing the template for all temptations, the devil in the form of a serpent and Eve.

Demonic inspiration raises questions as to the integrity of God’s Word.  God is True and so is His word, He and His word are One in the same.  When confronted with a question “is that really what God said” is often in the guise of “is that what He meant”.

Reject the overtures of doubt and determine to stand on the Truth of His word.

Eve attempted to twist and define His word from a different paradigm when she added to the word of the Lord “you shall not touch” the tree.

Resist and reject temptation and partake of the tree of His life – eternal life!
