Our Help, Our Hope

Psalm 121:1, 2   I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

Possibly contemplating his native land Israel, the Psalmist asks a question and then proceeds to answer it.  It wasn’t the “hills” that brought him aide, rather it was the Maker of the hills that brought the aide, “the Lord” and He will be our Aide as well.

This “Lord” is THE Creator of heaven and earth.  Being the Creator He provides assurance, you don’t need to worry about Him being too tired to assist, He doesn’t even take a nap.  He provides refreshment as well as protection. He will preserve you whether you go or come and these promises are eternal, everlasting.

He truly is our Help that gives us Hope!
