Overcomers – Every Saint
Rev. 12: 10-12 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice,….
As John views all the activity in this vision, I get the sense he had a myriad of emotions run through him, possibly being discouraged. Yet in the midst of them he hears “a loud voice” declaring “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come”. The loud voice isn’t just in terms of volume, but also the voice of authority heralds “good news”; that “the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” It’s as though the Father and the Son have become tired of listening to this ranting and raving of the dragon and throw him down.
When you are assailed by accusation and innuendos from the enemy, listen for that “loud voice” the Voice of Authority and you’ll hear good news; your accuser been thrown down and out!
What prompts the Father and the Son to do so? “They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Note the sequence; they appropriated what had been provided on Calvary, the power of His blood! They held fast to their testimony or their confession not only that they were followers of Messiah, but also what He made available through the shedding of His blood. Finally they knew the first death was nothing but an upgrade for them, they didn’t fear it at all.
We’re seated, spiritually, with Christ in heavenly places; therefore we can and should “rejoice”.
Saint of God you are an Overcomer – Rejoice!
