Power of Perfect Love

1 John 4:18  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear

In the midst of the current crisis confronting our world, fear seems to be running rampant.  A.W. Tozer said “A scared world needs a fearless church”.   How can we, the CHURCH, live above fear and be fearless in the pervasive panic and hysteria that seems to be overwhelming people; even people of faith?

Could it be that we don’t understand the scope, the depth, the POWER of His love and being in love with Him?

John reminds and exhorts us that “perfect (mature) love casts (drives, overpowers, prevails) over fear”.  It is in walking and living in His love that we rise above the fear gripping the culture.  Not with arrogance or pride, but an abiding indwelling peace that emanates from His overwhelming love.

Abide and dwell in His love.
