Remember
Psalm 103: 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
David exhorts us to “bless the Lord” and to “forget not (i.e. remember) all His benefits. What are those benefits?
Our iniquities are forgiven; i.e. the inborn tendency toward sin. His forgiveness doesn’t just address the surface issues of transgression but the root causes. He goes to the heart of the matter.
“All” of our diseases are healed. Every malady that would afflict us physically, socially or spiritually.
Whatever would cause us to sink into pits of despair, discouragement, frustration or disillusionment; He retrieves us from those pits.
He “crowns” us with beauty and compassion.
The menu He provides nourishes and energizes so that our strength is rebuilt like an eagle after the molting season, empowering us to soar.
Don’t forget – REMEMBER!
