The Scope of His Government

Isa. 9:7  Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end,

Messiah’s, Jesus the Christ, prevailing power and rule extends to humanity in the expression of forgiveness.  It’s as though the Holy Spirit speaking through Isaiah emphasizes that specific point by three times in this chapter and once in the next chapter declaring “For all this His anger is not turned away,  But His hand is stretched out still.”

This is prophetic evidence that in the midst of judgment the Lord continues to extend His hand of mercy and grace toward the waywardness of people.

A quick scan of the waywardness of Israel recorded in scripture gives indication that His forgiveness is based on His everlasting mercy.  And the scope of His government and the peace or healing to the brokenness of mankind is inexhaustible.

The scope of His compassionate authority of peace is unlimited; individually and nationally.

Let us be among those who will call for the continued extension of His government for our nation.
