“Yes”

Luke 1:38  Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”

A simple response by an awestruck teenage girl makes this season what it is, Immanuel – God With Us!

Essentially Mary says “YES” to the pronouncement she will give birth to a boy that she will name Jesus!  Her response, without knowing all the ramifications it would entail, becomes the hinge of history.  The Creator of the universe comes to earth , becomes the Man who takes away the sin of the world and currently is the chief architect and building of eternal abodes for mankind.

Comprehension of what our “yes” to God will have cannot possibly be fathomed in our hearts or minds.  We only know what was told to Jeremiah that our yes to Him abounds with peace, a future and hope (Jer. 29:11).

Say “YES” to Him!
